The birth dates for people ruled by the Chinese Lunar horse include 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002 and 2014. Those born under the influence of this sign are said to be hardworking, energetic, optimistic and animated.
Each coin is meticulously struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in superb proof quality.
The wealth coin’s reverse depicts a horse wearing a ceremonial saddle, as it rears up on its hind legs against a money tree heavy with gold coins to signify strong growing wealth. The design is encircled by a horse shoe symbolising luck, and includes the inscriptions WEALTH, 2014 YEAR OF THE HORSE and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
The wisdom coin’s reverse depicts a painting of a horse, with the Chinese symbol for ‘horse’ and characters describing the Year of the Horse. The image is accompanied by the traditional ink stone and brushes, signifying patience and wisdom. The design is encircled by a horse shoe symbolising luck, and includes the inscriptions WISDOM, 2014 YEAR OF THE HORSE and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
No more than 1,500 of these Lunar Good Fortune 2014 Year of the Horse 1oz Silver Proof Two-Coin Sets will be issued by The Perth Mint.
Each coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of the Tuvalu. The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination and the 2014 year-date are shown on each coin’s obverse.
